Shochugeiko 2005
Day 1: Shiho Nage

Kihon Dosa

Katate Mochi Shiho Nage-1
Ryote Mochi Shiho Nage-1
Yokomen Uchi Shiho Nage-2
Shomen Uchi Shiho Nage

Class of 13, it was like "OWO! Do we have everybody here today? Class", however there was less space for everyone to lean / bend down, so it turned out to be a less pain for ankle class :)

Most of the class, in very limited space, I was working with a girl who is traveling from Canada and does other style of Aikdo back home. It looked like she was finding the difference of it trying Yoshinkan for the first time.

The last technique we did, Shomen Uchi Shiho Nage was a bit complex.

  1. Shomen Uchi
  2. Pivot
  3. Sliding movement along with hands
  4. going further
  5. Hiriki no Yosei-2 turn
  6. Shiho Nage position
  7. Shiho Nage... I think...
We did it with Kagari Geiko, I was in a group of 4, I was having a bit hard time to get the whole movement in the beginning but when I was working with a huge guy who just has started a week ago, it suddenly came to me and I put him down on the mat unexpectedly...I think he was not expecting that to happen, and claimed it hurt...smiling :) Nice guy... yet sorry...and yes, I should be careful.

For Kangeiko in February... we had like 6 was the most, only 3 of us made the whole days through...starting with 13 was not a bad number...hope a lot will make it through!
